There are several breakfasts in this area sponsored by United Methodist Women. The closest breakfast to our congregations is Faith UMC, 174 Pinnacle Road in Henrietta.

The program begins with an 8:30 AM worship service with Holy Communion led by the Host Pastor. Following the worship service, a breakfast is served at approximately 9:30 AM. What a way to begin Holy Week--the day before Palm Sunday.

AGING, DEMENTIA, AND ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE

How can our spiritual community reach out to people suffering with Alzheimer's disease? We can start by attending this presentation at Macedon Public Library on October 20, 6:30 PM in the Community Room. Once we are aware of the disease's symptoms, we are better prepared to help the person who is afflicted as well as his or her caregivers.

The title is AGING, DEMENTIA, AND ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE, and Eve Moses will be sharing her knowledge and expertise gained through her 25-years experience in the field of aging services. She will discuss what is normal aging and what is not, the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, risk factors, prevalence, warning signs, and the stages of Alzheimer's. She will also address way to help the person with dementia and their caregivers.
